This Privacy Policy explains how RealEstateCalc.com.au ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and handles personal information in Australia. We manage personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), to the extent they apply to us.
2. The information we collect
We may collect personal information that you provide to us directly, such as when you use our contact form:
- name
- email address
- the content of your message and related details
We may also automatically collect information about your interaction with this site, including device and browser information, approximate location (derived from IP address), pages viewed, referring URL, and interactions with our calculators. This site uses cookies and similar technologies; see section 4.
3. How we use information
We use personal information for purposes including to:
- provide and operate this website, our calculators, and related services
- respond to inquiries and provide support
- understand how the site is used so we can improve performance, content, and usability
- protect the site against fraud, abuse, and security incidents

5. Third-party service providers
We disclose personal information to third-party service providers that support our operations. The providers most relevant to your privacy are:
- Vercel Inc. (United States) — hosts this website and processes server logs and request metadata as part of normal site operation. See Vercel's privacy policy.
- Google LLC / Google Australia — provides Google Analytics 4 for measurement (loaded only after cookie consent), and Google Fonts for typography. See Google's privacy policy.
- Commission Factory Pty Ltd (Australia, with infrastructure that may operate overseas) — provides the affiliate tracking network that attributes clicks on affiliate links to RealEstateCalc. See Commission Factory's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) — provides Turnstile bot-protection on our contact form. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Formspree, Inc. (United States) — processes contact-form submissions on our behalf. See Formspree's privacy policy.
We may engage other reputable service providers (for example, additional affiliate networks, analytics tools, or content delivery networks) from time to time. We do not sell personal information.
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of the service providers listed above are based in or operate from overseas, including the United States. When personal information is disclosed to those providers, we take reasonable steps in the circumstances to ensure they handle the information consistently with this policy and the Australian Privacy Principles.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and from unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. This includes HTTPS encryption in transit, a strict Content Security Policy, rate limiting on submission endpoints, and bot-protection on our contact form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Access and correction
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you and request that we correct any information that is inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity. In some circumstances permitted by law, we may refuse a request, in which case we will provide our reasons.
9. Affiliate links
This site contains affiliate links. When you click one, the partner — directly or via an affiliate network — may set a cookie on your device to attribute any subsequent action you take with them back to us, which may result in us receiving a commission.
